Statement of Student Organization Sath:
“Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has written a letter to Indian Home Minister Amit Shah asking him to stop the conspiracies to centralize Panjab University. The issue was recently brought to the notice of the Chief Minister by the student body Sath through the Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan. We thank Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan for this step. But we hope that to accomplish this task the Punjab Government will bring a resolution in the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha session that Punjab University is the heritage of Punjab and its centralization would never be tolerated by Punjab. Punjab government should make arrangements for the reservation of students and employees of Punjab, so that the students of Punjab could get more opportunities of higher education and employment in the University.”
